It gives your group one shared place to vote on a destination, commit to dates, split expenses, and build the itinerary together, instead of scattering all of that across group chat.

Yes. Creating groups, voting, tracking who’s in, building the itinerary, and splitting expenses are all free. The only paid add-on is the AI Assistant ($7.99/month after a 7-day free trial, optional). Everything else your group needs to plan a trip doesn’t cost anything.

Each person fills out a short travel-preference profile once (travel style, climate, budget, activity level, how much safety matters to them). Tripslate aggregates everyone’s preferences and scores destinations against the group as a whole, then surfaces the best matches for the group to vote on, so you’re picking from a shortlist that already fits everyone, instead of starting from scratch.

Everyone who wants to vote, commit, or split expenses needs a free account, but joining is just tapping an invite link or entering your group’s invite code. No setup beyond that. Tripslate also works as a web app in a browser, so friends who’d rather not install anything can still participate.

Anyone in the group can log an expense and who it should be split between. Tripslate keeps a running tally of who owes whom and lets people settle up directly through Stripe. Tripslate doesn’t take a fee on these payments between group members.

Anything you post inside a group (votes, chat messages, itinerary items, expenses) is visible to every member of that group, and nobody outside it. See our Privacy Policy for the full details on what we collect and how it’s used.

An optional $7.99/month add-on (with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers) that can answer questions about your specific trip (who’s paid up, what’s still being voted on, and so on) using your trip’s own data. It’s a convenience, not a travel authority: its answers can be wrong or out of date, so don’t rely on it for anything safety-critical like visa requirements.

An iOS app (currently in beta via TestFlight) and a web app that works in any desktop or mobile browser, no separate install needed to get started.
